Meet the Doctors

Dr. Fitch

Dr. Roger Fitch

Dr. Fitch has practiced optometry in Peoria since 1976.  He started his own practice in 1987 on Sheridan Road and then moved to the current location in 2002.  Vision Care Center will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2012.

Some of the special interests Dr. Fitch has are:

1. Working with those people with low vision to enhance their remaining vision.

2. Designing gas permeable lenses for himself and other doctors.

3. Neuro-optometric rehabilitation work with patients after traumatic brain injuries.

4. Developmental vision training to help children with achieving their real potential.

5. Valuing the long term friendships he has established with many patients over the years.

Dr. Fitch is married to Beth.  They have four children and reside in Peoria.

Dr. Cundiff

Dr. Timothy Cundiff

Dr. Cundiff joined the practice in 2008.  He graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry and joined Vision Care Center after completing an externship program that took him from Indiana to Quantico, VA to Miami, FL.  He is quite familiar with VCC.  He has been a patient of Dr. Fitch since 2nd grade and worked as a technician for 4 summers during his college years.  He is a native East Peorian and is an alum of Peoria Notre Dame.  After high school, Dr. Cundiff attended Loras College in Dubuque, IA.  He played baseball for the Duhawks.  He remains active in sports and has become the director of the Sports Vision Program at VCC.  He has worked with athletes and sports vision doctors from across the country and world.  Dr. Cundiff sees patients of all ages - with special attention to pediatrics.  Kids call him Dr. C (aka Dr. See).

Dr. C is proud to be living in his hometown.  He is very active in the local community and is a board member of the Young Professional Organization of Greater Peoria, Lakeview Museum, and the Methodist College of Nursing.  He is a big sports fan and is a proud supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  His claim to fame is that he was on The Price is Right with Bob Barker in 2006 and made it to the Showcase Showdown!
